INTERREG IPA CBC Greece – FYROM 2014-2020 - 1st Call for Proposals

The 1st Call for Project Proposals under the Territorial Cooperation Programme INTERREG IPA Greece – FYROM 2014 – 2020 is now open. With a total budget of 20.5 million €, it aims to further develop local economies with measures that will create jobs, improve public transport and healthcare as well as protect the environment and the regions' natural heritage.

Overall Goal:

The enhancement of territorial cohesion by improving living standards and employment opportunities holding respect to the environment and by using the natural resources for tourism.

Total Budget: 20.461.530,00 €

 

Submission Period: 7 December 2015 until 31 March 2016

• National, regional or local public authorities
• Bodies governed by public law
• Non-Profit Organizations under private law
• International organizations

PA 1: Development and Support of Local Economy

Specific Objectives:

1.1. Create employment opportunities for educated graduates by exploiting comparative advantages of the cross border area, preferably with the use of innovative tools and practices
1.2. Improvement of preventive health care and social services of children and elderly population
1.3. Improve the attractiveness and promote tourism in the cross-border area to enhance employment in tourism
2.1. Upgrade public infrastructure to improve road travel time, safe border crossing and promote energy efficiency towards green transport
2.2. Sustainable management and recycling of bio-wastes
2.3. Sustainable management of protected areas, ecosystems and biodiversity
2.4. Prevention, mitigation and management of natural disasters, risks and hazards
